Companies across Australia have experienced a surge in productivity after partnering with state-of-the-art drone software platform FlyFreely.
The Brisbane-based business surveyed customers from the mining, civil engineering, utilities and renewable energy sector about their experience using the technology.
There are three phases when it comes to flying a drone.
They are planning, execution and reconciliation.
Respondents reported time savings of between 50 and 65 per cent across all phases, compared to when they used paper-based forms.
Every customer surveyed said they were less anxious about compliance since they started working with FlyFreely.
A whopping 80 per cent of respondents said the platform would enable them to scale their business' drone program, while 65 per cent said they were now able to spend more time on growing the company.
Business Development Manager Carlos Hofmann said while the FlyFreely team knew they were having an impact, seeing the results in black and white was hugely pleasing.
“We're saving our customers time, and time is money”, he said.
“We also pride ourselves on being responsive to their needs.
“The team has put a significant amount of time into developing features that our customers have asked for.
“By being responsive to what they need, we're removing the barriers that stop them from getting out and flying.”
FlyFreely was founded by Dr David Cole in 2017.
The business provides customers with all of the tools to manage their operational, regulatory and fleet management needs, so they can safely and effectively operate drones anywhere in the world.
FlyFreely, which expanded into New Zealand earlier this year, is working on a series of additional features that will be released in late 2021.
